When you divide the same units into something (like 10kg/5kg) the unit remains. I know the answer is 2 m/s, but how do I get there?

When you divide two values with the same units, the unit is cancelled; it doesn't remain as you thought. So (10 kg) / (5 kg) = 2, with no units.

2kg*m/s = (1 kg)(v_2) ==> v_2 = 2 m/s
