Does anyone have any suggestions on some things I can do with my baby at home... she usually kicks her kicky toy, watches Dora, and Handy Manny, swings in her baby swing, tummy time on her tummy time mat, sits in her bouncer, and bebe pod, and we read... I'm sure she is getting bored with these same activities every day...I need some new ideas.

she never watches much of the cartoons, she just likes it when they sing. My husband and I always sing the songs on the cartoon to her. She loves it and the bright colors and kid voices.

she also has a leap frog mirror that plays music and makes animal noises with different feel to each one.

Take her out for a walk in her stroller, try singing songs with her. Put on some music and dance with her. These were all fun favorites for my daughter at that age. Sound like you are already doing a great job of entertaining her. Maybe joining a moms group so she can be around other babies and you can be around other mommies. It was a sanity saver for me.

I have a 3 month old and I completely understand, its such an awkward stage - they can't really go anywhere or do anything on their own but they really want to. I got my son a Bumbo seat ($39.99 at Target) and he loves it. The best part is it is easy to carry around (even with him in it) so I can take him from room to room and he watches whatever I'm doing. I've also found that he loves to go for walks, rather it be outside or at the mall.

honestly I have a 3 1/2 month old and the best fun she has is when i talk to her and make funny faces ect. It takes her along time to get bored. Also why dont you go outside? Or if its cold out take her to a mall and point things out to her what they are ect.

My son loves his swing and the tv... So while I do my chores he is in his swing in front of the tv with cartoons on even though he would be happy even if it was the news lol he just loves tv. But now since we put up our tree he has changed from starring at the tv to starring at our tree.

No more TV or movies.
Instead you can dance with her by moving her arms and legs to the beat of the music, play peek-a-boo or pat-a-cake, reading is wonderful or just pointing to and naming pictures of simple objects in a picture book. Sing to her, talk to her (tell her what you are doing, what you will be doing during your day) go for a walk, go to the park and push her in a baby swing.

She is WAY to young for TV. Before 15 months is not really good. I mostly had music on and danced with my son. He is now 3 years-old and VERY musical. He has a set of professional drums...courtesy of our music teacher neighbor, electric organ, guitar, etc. He would much rather now play with these or play outside than watch much TV.

cut out the tv. otherwise you are doing fine. you dont want to stimulate her too much. let her just sit and observe her environment.
