Do they withstand heavy rain?

Yeppers! Just make sure you get ones that don't have those little breathing holes in them.. most of them have the holes... but i have seem a lot that don't either! But if you really want to be on the safe side... just get some rainboots.. i meant hat's what they're made for!! But anyway.. i you do get shoes.. get DC's THEY ARE WAAAAYYY BETTER THAN VANS.... I think vans are just a cheap remake of DC shoes....

well yes vans and DC's are both pretty awesome
'DCs' are startgn to join the fad now... so vans would be a bit more original... but its half-and-half
vans are better... there are more styles to them to chose from and DC's are pretty good too
