Why do people have uneven number of earrings?

In other words, 3 in one ear and 2 in the other?

It creates a diagonal image which is dynamic to the eye. It's supposed to create a slight dramatic effect. Usually preferred by slightly eccentric people who want to express they see things a bit different and like it that way.

Because the like it, I have 5 in one and 3 in the other. I just like the look.
