It wasn't the best she has done, but look at the big picture. Can you imagine how nerve wracking that must have been for her, knowing that all eyes and judgment is on you. She has had a bad marriage with some poor decisions. She's human, and still very young. Jesus, give the girl a break, She tried, and with more and more of getting herself back she will come back and do better, but on to of all she has gone through, and all eyes ready to judge, she is also going through a custody battle. Oh and not to mention, who the hell can truely dance in boots with heels like that, poor thing almost lost her balance from the beginning. Why is everyone so ready to jump on the criticism band wagon, are all of you perfect, never made poor decisiions? The difference is, all cameras are on her, and the media loves to creat fiction for cover stories. Not to mention, how do any of you know she has a DRUG problem for sure. More jumping on the band wagon and pointing fingers. So if she does have a problem like that, gee, I wonder when that started. could it have been when she married that mooching dirt bag, k- fed!!! Not to mention, how the media is criticising her stomach and weight. Um girl had 2 kids, she looks HOT!!!

No, you're absolutely right. It seems quite clear that she needs a LONG break, preferably most of it spent in rehab, then some quality time with her kids and family, and then start to think about her career. I'm looking forward to the interview she does long from now, saying she is over the worst and well on her way back to her old self again. But at the moment, she seems just to be going about things all the wrong way.

god love her, was a disaster. just watchin the rerun now and when sumone like chris brown can give that kinda performance, it just knocks the socks off brit. was messing round on utube n saw her performance from the 1999 show and that was just amazing, same with the "satisfaction" vma, think that was 00 or 01, even the madonna one. all absolutly fab. she needs to really build up her confidence b4 she does something like that. it was far too much and too much pressure was put on her. rihanna r justn r anyone else would have been better equipt 4 it!
and as for her body, shes not fat. its just that she picked a bloody awful outfit to wear. a few jiggles aint fat but when shes wearing a skimpy outfit like that, you just cant help but thing of her pre-babies hay day.
and that "comedian" that pretty much slated her after her performance, think its sad when the only comedy comes from hurting other people who are not able to take that critisim.
hope to god she can get it together. the song is quite good and a real club number but when shes looking so hazy eyed and doesnt seem to know whats going on and cant even keep up with the dancers, you hafta think that the VMAs were taking the piss with putting her on. purly giving the others something to laugh at and pulling in viewers.

I agree but I feel sorry for her. The newspapers warned us that the VMAs were going to be on and to skip them, but there are the teen agers or wannabe youths that still cling to the VMAs like they are great.
Brittney did an extrordinary job as a mother. As a pop star under such pressure, no, not so hot, but she did what she was able to do.
Brittney lost her stardom the other night, no question, but I still give her respect as a mother going on stage and performing like she did. Her news article this morning was great and I now respect her as a human being, seeing her fail in the papparazzi glam light. Maybe people will stop hounding her for once.

No, but I do care to elaborate. Okay She really looks awesome after having 2 kids, but not awesome enough to dress like that. And don't apologize, how can she expect for anyone to say anything good when she didn't even put any effort into that performance? She walked through the steps and didn't even make an effort to hide the fact that it was lip sync! I wanted her to beat the odds and do good but I was very disappointed in the lack of effort on her part.

eh, who gives a crap - she's all washed up anyway. Cant believe that MTV wanted her on there. I dont think she was fat like i have heard on TV and radio but I would still love to have her body !! She was out of shape cuz she hasn't been to much dancing lately except drunk at the club.... dont really know why i wasted this much time on this already - what the heck is wrong with me!?!?!?

She doesn't have the kind of body she should be ashamed of in a bikini, but she also doesn't have the kind of body she should be proud to show off on stage in a bikini.
The performance was crap too. I think she just doesn't care any more. Maybe she wants to care, to recapture the old excitement, but she just can't. She needs therapy. Maybe once she gets happy again she'll do better, but she should be more realistic about her costume choices.

some people are saying shes fat. I dont think shes fat u try have 2 babies and see how much ur hips spread ..duh..She could have worn a better outfit though..The performance sucked shes done a whole lot better job than that. I hope she just gets her act back together for her kids and career sake. People need to give her a lil break shes had a very long career so far and done very well up until now. People just get down sometimes and they need others to be positive for them to pick them up.

If u are referring to her horrible Video Music awards performance, the i have just a few things to say about that, firstly it's Britney Feakin Spears and anybody who was expecting an awesome performance is kidding themselves, she was never talented, she could never sing but lately it isnt surprising i hear she's starting to lose it, (the shaved head, prank calls to K-Fed, all night drnking binges with Fire Crotch) i think that it was funny because it was the most pathetic performance since Ashley Simpson's SNL performance, i hope that this is the last nail in britney's career's coffin! I hope this ruins her!!!
