winter is coming on,
do you have a job
do you understand how much it costs to live there,
do you have a place to stay
do you have any clue how fast you can get frost bite
do you have any clue how fast you can get hypothermia
do you have any cold weather survival training in case your car breaks down
do you know how to deal with moose
do you know how to avoid wolf attack
do you know how to drive on ice
did you know that the average life span for new drivers before they are killed is 6 months
do you know how to get out of a snow drift
do you have heart problems that would prevent you from doing heavy work (like digging out of snow)
do you know how to work a 2 way radio
do you take meds that are maintenance that you need daily, do you have a 30 day supply
is this just a wish and not properly thought through
and I could go on for a long time. I lived there and i've seen a lot of bad things happen to people who were not prepared.
honest quote, from a man with his family on ice sliding toward a cliff, "the hardest thing i have ever done in my life was to take my foot off the brake so I could try to regain control of the slide and not go over."
that guy was someone who talked to me about alaska as I was deployed to work there...again, you tax payers paid my way and I appreciate that. I absolutely loved it and would go back in a heart beat, but I would not want to pay out of my pocket to do that, as setting up a home would be expensive, I like not having to drive for a week to get somewhere

I've lived in Alaska... so I hope you enjoy the great out doors, lots of wonderful wilderness and clean air, just don't expect their to be a mall around the corner from anywhere, it isn't going to happen. But the views are spectaular!

It sounds fantastic,i wish I could take my family someplace very near there actually: the Queen Charloote Islands, just north of Vancouver. Not as cold but still fresh and rugged and clean. Have a great experience.

Alaska has the highest suicide rate! With that, I can't imagine it's too fun. Let's go to Hawaii instead! :D

I don't think I'd ever move there because it's dark for 1/2 of the year but I'd love to go on an Alaskan cruise.

You're going to go to Alaska and you're going to leave me.... what is your problem....... Why, for what?
There's nothing to do all day and there is hardly ever sunlight.... when I visit you... there had better be some hottie eskimos when I visit you...... ok?
