brandon jacobs is out three to 5 weeks and i dont want him and other ppl in my league do idk why tho. who should i try to get instead of him?

tomlinsin (bye week 7)
reggie bush (4)
clinton portis (4)
im trying to get one that is not in week 4 and that is really good. thanks

You're a tard if you get rid of Jacobs. You have enough depth to put him on the bench for three weeks.
Tomlinson and Portis (until; he inevitably gets injured) are a good 1,2. Bush will pick up, but still will always share touches with Deuce and as such will not be a choice #1. You kind of screwed yourself by taking two backs with the same bye week. I would just pick up a back in the free agent pool for week 4. Put Jacobs on IR if available and pick up Ward now.

If you can, don't drop or trade Jacobs. He WILL be back in a few weeks, and people come back pretty well from resting MCLs. So pick up one of his 2 backups: Ward or Droughns and/or pick up Chris Brown (Ten). At least 2 of the 3 should be available in most leagues.
You don't say how many RBs you start, but I think Portis or Bush will take up the slack fine. Jacobs was around #15 and Portis around #20 in pre-drafts. And in my league, both Bush and Portis were picked before Jacobs--beleive it or not!

Derrick Ward will be his backup. get him ASAP! i'm in the same boat and if you can put Jacobs on an injured list instead of dropping another player, that'd be your best bet here

no longer too undesirable, i could attempt to make a pair of alterations. you elect extra suitable RB's, unfastened Glenn and or Pennington and spot what you are able to %. up for the RB place. the two those adult males are injured, and additionally you would be extra suitable off without 'em.
