I was on that budget fella, i suggest something not to expensive, a necklace or bracelet, try H Samuels if theres one in your city. But get an empty house, set a nice table, candles n flowers, a necklace should be bout £50, tablecloth n candles n flowers bout £30 n then order a takeaway, a chinese goes down a treat n I suppose £20 should be enough for you mate. Make it a special night, run her a bath with candles round it, order the takeaway as soon as she steps in the bath, give her a glass of wine while she's in it, but just keep her there till the food comes and plate it up. Trust me mate she'll love it.

Alright so Im not sure how much that converts to in US Dollars but some of the best ideas are the ones that come from the heart. Find something that reminds you of when you first met or something along those lines and run with that. Make it a memorable day by do little things all through out the day. Leave her a note and a rose ( if you really wanna get sappy leave her 12 different notes each with a flower, one for each month). I dont usually give out my secrets but for me and my girls 1 year I took twelve different pictures of us and attached a note and rose to each one....
other ideas make a scrapbook of you two
make a book of 365 reasons why you love her
GOOD LUCK young Casanova

Congratulation!Just a few ideas-
*Make her a cd with all the songs that remind u of her or all her favourite tunes.
*a trip on the london eye with 2 glasses and a bottle of champers!(but suppose it'd av to be non alcohlic as your 17 sorry)
*Or a nice meal out or as you can't cook why don't you get a take away-it can still be romantic with soft music, candles etc!
*Flowers
*a shopping trip where you can buy something of her choice
Hope you have a nice time!

Similar to my response to a birthday gift question. Begin with asking her what she may want within say a 50-75 pound range, then look at using the rest to surprize her with a meal shared together, either at or takeaway, and maybe sweets.

I hope you both have a wickedly fun time of it!!

I prefer an experience to a thing, myself. Take her out on a date where you first met (or the most reasonable facsimile thereof). Give her the kind of flower you first gave her. Order the first things you ordered together. Or watch the movie you first saw together.

Sometimes a guy remembering sentimental things has more value than yes, even jewelry. The first Christmas after we married, my husband bought me a bathrobe in my favorite color. The fact that he remembered my favorite color (and my favorite kind of ice cream) thrilled me more than jewelry could have.

Save your money. Just buy her a card and write here a poem. 1 month is not much and if you over do it you might scare her away.

Why don't you explain your financial situation and ask her what she would like to do?
I'm pretty sure she would like a nice card with heartfelt words. The rest is just pretty dressing.
Talk to her; that way you can learn to be closer.
