Not everyone is accepted. People on here are very prejudiced... a lot of people. Some people don't even realize it, but they must be. I had a different avatar for a while and not only did my best answer percentage take a huge hit, but I was getting thumbs-down like crazy. I tried it again for a short stint, and it happened again.

Generally I find that a group that will accept me will accept anyone. This isn't the playground, where if you're fat or have zits, they don't play with you.
