yes they work...
However... the big question is how long ago did you have unprotected sex that could have led to the pregnancy.
Simply because a test says "negative" only really means that based on your body at that time there was nothing to indicate pregnancy. It is entirely possible for you to be pregnant and take the most expensive test known to man and still be pregnant simply because you took the test so soon after conception that the chemicals that are being detected haven't increased in your body to the point that they show up.
So... If you worried wait a week after you expect to have your period and test again. If still nothing then you're probably safe. In the future consider adding condoms to your lifestyle, injections can be effective at reducing your chance for pregnancy but do nothing against STDs like AIDS.

I did buy pregnancy tests from poundland and i took all three before i believed it, they were positive, but still brought an expensive one to make sure. The tests look for the hormone cauased by pregnancy. If you get a negative, it could be too early to detect the hormone, but if you get a positive it is definitely correct at that time.

They should work, but you know, the dollar store brands can sometimes be faulty... after all, they're sold at the dollar store for a reason. Why not, instead of buying three or four cheap ones, why not buy one really good one? Also, wait until your due period. If you miss your period, then go ahead and purchase your test. That way, if you get your period you'll know you're not pregnant and save your money by not buying a test.

They work just the same. I always use cheap ones and have always gotten an accurate response. Your symptoms are probably caused by the shot-it can cause an array of side effects. E-mail me if you have any questions about it, I was on it for 6 months and got most of the common (and many not so common) side effects.

They all work exactly the same, they detect the HCG hormone in the urine. Some are just mroe sensitive. The ones at the dollar stores in teh states are actually Me sensitive than most expensive ones.

yes, the cheap ones work just like the more expensive ones. they all test for the same thing, and they have to live up to standards set up by the government.

Yes, they work the same. The over the counter urine test is the same as the one at the doctors office.
