On the bands on the fasces on the reverse of the coin the 3 that go around it have a line in the middle of them. You must be able to see them. On some mint state dates it is rare that they are there due to the strikes being not so hot that year on other days in mint state it is more common. It adds to the value but the coin must be in high mint state grade. The 1945 dime is quite common in low grades and sells for $1 to $3 in circulated grades. The mint mark if any is on the reverse near the E in one. The 1945-S has two varieties one has a small (micro) S and is valued higher.

Depending upon its condition & its mint mark, the dime could be worth anywhere from 50 cents up to $100.

As for a "full split band", on the back of the dime you will see a torch like thing ( but it is NOT a torch, I simply can't think of its name right now... sorry ) on that torch like thing that are two bands. These bands run across it and need to be complete and not worn off to be worth anything.

: ) Happy Collecting.
