Yes. 2 days back, announced on BBC World News. Something of shock as I believe she was not suffering from any serious lady health complaints. Born 1942: A remarkable women and much loved, respected by many the world over.

Yes, I think it is very sad news. She seemed, to me, to be a fiercely passionate and intelligent character, who became extremely successful, basing her business activities on her strong principles. The Body Shop's social initiatives and campaigns have had a real impact and helped raise awareness on many issues. I take my hat off to her. As a businesswoman and as a human being, I have always found her inspiring.

That is very sad. She has been an inspiration to many people . Her work ethic was exemplary. She seemed a genuine person.

She may not have been perfect as I think she did exploit some of the people she took recipes from but at least she did raise awareness of ecological issues.

Thanks for posting this, I had no idea until your question. Yes, it is very sad. I think she came from nothing to found the Body Shop. Thoughts are with her family.
