No. there are terrorists all over the globe. That is why it is referred to as the "Global War on Terror". All the terrorists in the world didn't run to Iraq just so we can fight them there.

We will never be completley safe from terrorism. The open, free nature of our society make it impossible to eliminate the threat of future attacks.
But I do think we are safer then before and here are 2 reasons why:
1. Awareness- As a people we are more concious of our surroundings, and less indifferent to what is going on around us
2. Resources- Unprecedented efforts are being deployed to deter attacks against Americans and American interests in country and abroad

Believe it or not, there's less chance of people dying from terrorism than from a heart-attack or a car-accident here in America.

The odds are slim. I wouldn't worry about it. I tend to think that 9-11 was allowed to happen to fulfill certain neo-con agenda. Think about it: how could they possibly miss 4 large airliners veering off their flight path? The Air National Guard isn't incompetent.

Name a time in history that the United States was ever truly safe from terrorism. Exactly. The illusion of security (or lack thereof) has hampered the public's ability to put things into perspective.

Numerous studies conclude that Americans are more likely to fall victim to our own homegrown "terrorists" (i.e. gang members, serial robbers & killers, corrupt law enforcement) than from the actions of international terrorist networks. In fact most of terrorist acts committed on US soil have the result of domestic terrorism rather than foreign criminals or Islamist extremists.

We are safer in some ways, but I agree that until the borders are secure will we be sure about it. There haven't been any more major attacks since 9-11-01, so I think certain steps have been successful because state and local police have been effective.

We'll never be completely safe from terrorist acts. Timothy McVeigh made that point very clear long before 9/11.

However, where Osama & Al Qaeda are concerned, we are not safer and it's because GWB has not gone after them.

We are safer than we were on 9-10-2001 but still not safe.

Of course not. Statistics are irrefutable that terrorism has flamed up and thrived because of bush's war.

Gas on the fire.

bush is the recruitment poster child for terrorists, for God's sake.

bush gave terrorism free publicity and LEGITIMACY.

Depends on what you mean by safe. If you mean that there will never ever be another attack then No. And this will always be the answer. In reality hardly anyone is likly to be killed by a terrorist attack
