My husband and i are giving up our apartment in military housing in about 30 days so he can go on deployment and i can go back home...we have to give a 30 day written notice...does anyone have any suggestions on how to write one

If you are a military dependant, you are entitled to legal services on the installation. Check with them and they will help you develop a "Legal " notice for housing. Just telling them that you are moving out because of his deployment may not work.

Just explain it like you did in the question. I keep a clause in my leases that allows military members who are being deployed to give thirty (30) day notice with a copy of their orders. I would hope someone if in that situation would just tell me and would try and help them out the best I could. Good Luck!!!

just as simple and straightforward as possible; dear so and so, my husband is deploying. per the military clause in our lease, we are giving you our thirty day notice. our last day will be X. the end. and include if you can copies of the clause and copies of proof of his deployment or say you will furnish it upon request.

Contact your JAG office. The law for this varies by state. If your JAG officers don't know the local laws, then they should be flogged. I'm serious.
