I know he would say yes. we have talked about it for about a year or so now I thought he was going to get me one last month but he didnt and i want to get him one for our 2 years next month. we dont nned to get married anytime soon but i cant wait around forever to be married or start a family we have lived togather almost the whole time we have been togather i do love him a lot and he is my everything but i really would like to say hey look at me im engaged!! i hope i dont sound like im a lil kid cuz im 27 years old please someone tell me if its ok to ask him to marry me. thanks you

I don't see why not, really.
It certainly would not be conventional but, what the heck is anymore!?!
Also, I'd say he must be a pretty lucky person in that you even cared enough to give it some serious thought.
