Both as one should learn to pick his fights. But in black or white terms, I'm usually one who fights which in many cases has lead to more bad than good for myself.
tercentenary98 misses a key features of democracy. The power to object is one of the support structures the allows democracy to work. If we can't question our leaders we allow corruption, dictatorships, and in the end a monarcy. Just look at the countries right now where people either won't or can't question the leadership.

Why object? I am a free American, my wife and I have both served our country, and we do not take anything for granted especially our freedom.
The only people that object are those that want it all handed to them, want all the freedoms, and yet can still find something to complain about.
