Your question was intriguing, because there are almost two answers: both yes AND no.

YES, it is incredibly bad to lack common sense. Think of the implications! Good grief!!!

But NO, it is not bad to lak it SOMETIMES, if it is safe to do so and does not hurt others... This is the road less traveled, sometimes, and the one that leads to spontaneity, adventure, and experiences that you wouldn't have otherwise in a million years. And life is so worth living for those times where you can do the unpredictable, the things with the unknown outcomes....

Having said that, if you LACK common sense, instead of choosing not to follow it, then you might not be able to recognize when to choose the "common sense" route for the good of everyone...

Intriguing. Thanks for making me think.

Very bad to lack it . Is common sense some thing we are just born with or have been taught by parents or just observed from others .
If this is the case and it is taught some people may have missed out .
I f ones belief system is that they do not tell lies and would not hurt others intentionally then by thinking every one is like this you learn very quickly the common sense that othertalk about
But as usual npo pain no gain these can be painful lessons that one learns from .

It's bad MOST of the time to lack common sense. Life is just plain difficult even with good sense; if you lack it, you're going to be in trouble.

sweetheart, everybody lacks common sense once in a while. It's part of life. Actually, if it weren't for lacking common sense, there would be no comedians!!!

yes, as the purpose of common sense is to protect us from everyday dangers and things that seem should be 'common' knowledge, then i expect it could be bad to lack it, even dangerous at times, and at the very least socially annoying.
