Make and ACV cocktail: Get a glass of orange juice, add in 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar, and then add in 2 teaspoons of sugar. I know this sounds "yucky", but there is science behind this: the acid of the vinegar long with the sugar really does knock out the bacteria of the oncoming cold.

I have tried this and I have not been sick for over 5 years. In the times I get hit with a cold, the symptoms feel more like an allergy.

Hope this helps, BTW, next time you run naked, at least wear a scarf--only!!!! hahahah!!!!

Garlic. Raw, or in pills or capsules. Make sure they contain as much as alllicin as possible. Supergar 8000 are expensive, but they've saved me from half a dozen colds, and I'm not yet halfway through the bottle.

I take Vitamin tablets and eat lots of oranges to boost my vitamin C level. Also take sudafed to keep my sinuses clear. Normally works quite well and at least cuts down the length of time I am ill.

Also feed a cold, starve a fever - I eat plenty and rest.

Echinea, always works for me.
A pair of gloves and a hat might help as well, next time you feel the urge to run around naked. Oh, and don't forget your feet.

You can't catch a cold by underdressing. That's a myth. Unless by underdressing you mean not wearing knight's armor, which is my defense against a cold. I wear it to work, while driving, while at home, sleeping, etc. The only time I don't wear it is if it's raining (which also doesn't cause sickness) or in the shower.

Keep bundled up, drink Noe Citron even though I don't have a cold yet. Take Tylenol Cold and Flu tablets, this seems to work for me.

Do what Susan S says and take Zycam every day. Your cold will last only 4-5 days most likely.

I hold up a cross with garlic attatched and wave it about a lot. No seriously garlic and others of the onion family are good for colds.

Home made chicken soup twice a week, my grannie and mom swore by it to ward off colds, I haven't had a cold in years.
