Hi,

Since you have a Common Denominator you can simply add the numerators and keep the same denominator.

3/5 + 3/5 = 3+3 / 5 = 6/5

FINAL ANSWER: 6 / 5

I hope that helps you out! Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Sincerely,

Andrew

The answer is 1 1/5 (one and one-fifth). 3/5 is less then one whole. To make a whole you need to and 2 more fifths to 3/5 so you get 5/5 which is one whole. You take 2/5 from the second 3/5 and add it to the first. Then you have one whole and and one fifth left which equals one and one fifth or 1 1/5.

6/5 also makes sense but is not simplified. You cannot change the bottom number so you hust add the 3's together to get 6, put the 6 over the 5 to get 6/5.

Hope this helps! The answers are right. hopefully the explanation was good. GOOD LUCK!
