Mine: Babes In Toyland

Why?: Mostly because of Kat Bjelland. In my opinion, one of the coolest women to ever walk this earth.
She's just.. wow.

Upon further review....Kat Bjelland was the coolest of the riot grrls, so this won't be an original answer but you are dead on. L7 was up there but Babes were slightly better as a band. Courtney Love turned herself into a punchline.

I also liked the music of Sleater-Kinney even though they had a way of making you feel bad for being a man.

Oh, at last! Someone who has heard about this genre! I'm not a big fan of it, but I think the best Riot Grrrl band is L7

I'm not sure if they're from the Riot Grrl movement, but I really like Le Tigre. Everytime I listen to New Kicks it gives me shivers. I think they have a good balance between just fun songs and political, thought provoking songs.

bikini kill. i've always thought of them as like the godmothers of the riot grrrl movement. but some of the female bands that influenced that movement, like the raincoats or the slits, were real good too.

L7 all the way, baby!! Babes in Toyland just didn't rock it enough for me... and weren't nasty enough... Kat Bellend = yawn. PJ Harvey could run rings round her...

However, I do love Rockbitch... they are the best female band EVER!!!
