You should be in pretty good shape. Since you're running Vista, I would add another GB of RAM. Except from that, I wouldn't add anything since you're not interested in gaming.

You system is just fine for everyday tasks such as serfing the web, data processing, or using other office applications, and playing games which do not require too much power. It is also fine for the basic editing for photos and video you download from a video application, as long as you don't try to do any strenous video editing.
All you would need to do if you wished to play more memory intense games or do serious photo/ video editing would be upgrade you memory to 2gigabytes. You already have 1g which is the minimum requirements for running any Vista machine. A Pentium D CPU is fine, it can handle a lot of tasks, that is what I have in my Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 and I do intensive photo/video editing and use CAD software. However, I also have 4g of memory.
Whether somebody likes or dislikes Vista is a personal issue. People should stop pushing their personal preference off onto others.
So, bottom line is you should be just fine, enjoy your machine and have a nice day.

My advice:
1. get a new video card. "internal" = "suck", no matter the operating system.
2. get a cracked version of Windows XP Professional. The Home version has security holes. Vista is junk. Pretty, but junk. Plus it hogs all your resources, which is why XP computers can run fine on 512 ram and vista needs 2 gigs. Replacing Vista, and it will feel like you doubled your specs - it will be that fast.
3. space is great. ive run 4 years on a 90 gig harddrive, and I'm fine. unless you're downloading gigs and gigs of movies, dont bother upgrading.

Hmm.. i would love it more if it was above 3.5 Ghz.. and a 512 MB Video Card.. I would recommend the Windows XP operating system for this. it would run smooth. And the greater the PC specs.. the more powerful processor you need. And your computer is fit and more than enough for Everyday tasks.. . I recommended the above specs if your gonna play games that require high resources.. But my advise is, play games on a playstation rather than on the Pc.. It actually wastes the Pc in a sense because gaming needs maximum utilization of computer resources which makes the processor work harder and this might cause over heating in the system.. it gradually may spoil the motherboard. ya know wat im sayin homiee? And pls never, ever go for any Vista editions.. they just look good, they suck internally...

If you don't know what you need, chances are you don't need anything. And from your specs I would say you are well suited for just about any task.

the sole element u could ought to enhance on that device is the RAM... different than that it may be extraordinarily unwise to enhance now. Ur motherboard can help the Phenom II Processor btw.

Everything is OK except for your RAM. Vista users should have at least 2048MB RAM.
