It seems as if this simply gives hateful people a platform to spew their bigotry. Perhaps it is just me but it seems that before the new system these questions were deleted in a much more timely manner. For the record I am a 50 year old white southern male and I am very much offended by bigotry.

Many suggest these people are not racist but simply getting their kicks trying to get a reaction. I maintain that anyone who finds themselves able to use that type of language for fun is indeed racist.

Apparently, I missed this one. Glad I did. Like you, I find that the folks who spend so much time spewing hatred is so lame and so old. We have all come a long way in our discovery of each other as well as ourselves and we have a long way to go. People still don't want to let go of Jim Crow and those antiquated laws that did nothing except separate people who would otherwise have a good relationship.
I don't know that the questions were deleted any faster. I have not noticed or have enough information from the new system to be able to determine. I know that when these kinds of questions surface, I will block the person from being able to access my account.
I hope sincerely that those of us who enjoy this opportunity will continue to ask questions and seek answers that will enhance and create some sense of pride and hope in our lives. I have met some really cool people here and encourage new folks to write and participate. We just have to be fair and loving toward each other.

Yahoo is automated ! People reporting answers is really the mechanism that determines whether an answer stays or go's. EDIT : There may be in fact One or two people who put up the paying ad's that we all see. Somebody who Edits the web site. They may do some deleting but there are so many Q&A Police here already doing there job for them.

I think many of them are just having fun being rabble rousers and they may have a lot more fans laughing their heads off than many care to admit.
Anyway, even if a new system can auto erase key racist comments and posts, you can bet your bottom dollar they will show up in R&S shouting hang the Pope, Long live the king!;
bring back the Inquistion etc.

You rock! Being a Southern Belle I am highly offended by racists attempting to flaunt their ignorance. We southerners have been maligned for generations as being racist. Continue to report and state your opinion apparently we are still fighting a war on ignorance.

I don't understand why they can't I.P. ban people here. All they do is go open another account. Just ban the I.P. number already and save us from these jerks over and over and over again.
