It was a huge disappointment.For starters,she wore a bikini that was 2 sizes too small.
She barely danced,and didn't lip sync the whole song.
She looked confused,and was clearly high.Her usual confidence simply was not there.
Now Britney has another reason to hang her head in shame.Such a pity,because I was really rooting for her.

I was disappointed.
Mostly everyone you're going to ask about this are going to say that she couldn't make a comeback. But she's one of those people who'd I never want to crash and burn. She had it all, but I tuned in to the VMAs only to watch her performance, and everything just went wrong.
She tried to bring her sexy back by wearing a bikini, but the whole performance was lost. She made a mistake in lip-synching, her dance moves weren't sharp enough, and it just seemed too cliched. If you watched the pre-VMAs, all the interviewed celebrities were excited to see Britney, because they don't want her to miss her comeback.
It was just a disappointment. She could have impressed everyone.
PS. The standard of fatness disappoints me more. I don't think she's that fat. My god, she had two kids and dealt with divorce.

I feel bad for her, she embarassed herself. She looked out of shape (not OVERWEIGHT by regular girls' standards) and with a dazed look in her eyes. Britney needs to do serious damage control before she can "drop" a successful album in November. She has been gone 3-4 years which is a lifetime in the music biz, alot of competition has arrived for Brit, maybe last night she realized that.... The song, Gimmie More, was actually not that bad - so there's some hope, but she really needs to get her butt in gear (and in the gym), lol.

is she still a heifer of a train wreck? Prolly wasn't very good. Who wants to watch thunder thighs clapping, not me. Or watch her with whichever white trash poster boy she found this month. You would think w/ that much money you'd go up the ladder, not down.

Everyone is so mean. I think she should get better people arount her to tell her she's not at her best and not to wear certain clothes (or non clothes) She probably thought she was looking good. I, for one, feel bad for her.

She looked like she ate herself, then crapped herself out and then ate that crap. All along she had this look on her face like "Did I just eat my own crap, y'all?" which gave her a glazed nauseaus tinge like she wanted to throw up.... and eat that too.
Plus Randy Jackson says she was pitchy.
