I am not trying to be anyone but myself. What exactly is being white anyway? I honestly hate that phrase of "they are trying to be some other ethnicity". Maybe that is the way they are? I don't see a lot of black women feeling insecure about themselves. What world do you live in?
I don't need a video to reassure me that I am beautiful.

Being honest, it's very easy to slip into what people want you to be because of the desire to be wanted.
I enjoy living in my beautiful caramel skin. Speaking with full lips and breathing with strong broad nose. I rock a fro and I love it.
But you have women who see whats desired and that's what theyt aspire toward. Until we have people who have strong influence embrace who they are and not who people want them to be and set the example, then alot of women won't know how beautiful they are.
It all starts on the inside but if you are constantly bombarded by images of what you are told is beautiful, and those images is not what you are, how can you expect the mindset to be any different.
Thomas Moore said it best in his book Utopia, basically if you create a monster and then try to punish it for being a monster what else can be concluded but that you make monsters and then punish them for being such.
