if you had a choice in getting the ps3,xbox 360 or the wii which one would you get and why or is there something else out there that is better?

If you want the most bang for your buck, the xbox 360 is the best choice hands down. The graphics and variety of excellent games are outstanding. The online community is very addicting.
The PS3 is good if you are looking for a blue ray player, that's about it. There are no games basically for this console, all garbage at this point.
The Wii sounds innovative but lacks retention. From what my friends say, the novelty wore off after a short while.
The 360 has been established for a while and has a gallion games out already, many of which are big hits. Not to mention Halo3 coming Sept 25 as an exculsive to the 360.

I would buy the PS3, if I could afford it. I'm a fan of God of War and Final Fantasy, and the sequels are PS3 exclusive. I know the XBox 360 is at a reasonable price right now, but with the whole "Red Ring of Death" fiasco, I would be afraid to buy it. I just read in Game Informer Magazine that the number of faulty XBox 360s already sold could be as high as 1 out of every 3. Pretty bad odds on that one! The Wii would be a good choice, but like I said before, I'm a Sony fan. But if you are a big fan of Nintendo, I'd say the Wii is the way to go. It's affordable, unique, and the top selling next-gen console right now.

Well, i would definitely go for the 360, because it i less expensive than the PS3, it has better graphics than the Wii, and it also has a wide library of games. They also have Halo 3, and BIOSHOCK.
On the other hand, I did get of hold of a Wii, and boy, it was fun! The Wii games get you off the couch and they're entertaining. Plus they have Mario.
As for the PS3, i can't really say much about, since i really haven't gotten a hold of one, but all i know is that they're expensive, the remotes don't vibrate, and their video game library is small and dull.

the xbox 360 is something i wouldn't mind because the ps3 still has problems and the wii would be my second choice cause it doesn't have any games that i like.

I'd get Wii cuz it has Mario games, Metroid games, and Super Smash Bothers Brawl!
O yea and the controller for Wii is the best controller i've ever used.
