part of bush's recent Martial Law Enabling Act. Whether it too will ever be enforced we will never know until the day martial law is imposed upon America.

How many supporters of bush and the neocon party will continue supporting him if bush ever felt his political power to be so threatened by the American citizenry that he decides to enforce these gun-restriction provisions on the American people?

I've never supported gun control laws. I feel that Americans who have a gun have the responsibility for that gun and if it's misused should pay dearly for the problem. That being said, if Bush were to enact that to portion to curtail gun ownership among the citizenry, no one would support it. The NRA would finally be a popular organization and I bet guns would fly out of stores faster than Krispy Kreme's at a police convention.

Golly, I just looked at the Patriot Act and saw nothing interfering with gun ownership. Please cite a provision which does so.

I own a few handguns. No problems at all getting them.

Why can I only find 6 references online to a "Martial Law Enabling Act"? Ohhhh, because it's the John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007.

Again, I can find no such restriction. Please cite the relevant section. I must be missing it.

P.S. I'm not a Bush fan either, but holding forth on legislation without reading it hardly helps your cause.

So Bush unilaterally passed the Patriot Act, without vote in Congress?

He has fooled people into thinking this is the only way in securing America, by limiting the rights of Americans. Sadly Americans went for this.
What happen to securing the borders, finding Bin Laden, rooting out terrorist around the world ?

You're sort of mixed up. The thing you are referring to is the update of the Executive Order that ensures continuity of government during national emergencies. That order, or something just like it has been around for decades. It's not something that Bush just dreamt up to crown himself King, it's just an update of existing law.

Somehow, I don't think it's Republicans we have to fear when it comes to taking away our 2nd Amendment rights.

That occurrence would be the start of the second revolutionary war my friend.

" Get over it. It will never happen we can't own guns."
You must not live in America.
