As a Non-Bias Mets fan, I believe Ortiz is the king of the sox. Manny's Antics (to me) have really put a damper on a Great career. David Ortiz is a pro's pro. Likeable guy whom can get the big hit when it matters. Not to mention the fact that that he seems to take it up a notch against the yankees. Since that 2004 series against NY i believe that Ortiz has been looked at with higher reguard than manny.
This coming from a mets fan who lives in PA. So i'm not 100% in touch with the Red Sox Nation.
So take it for what its worth

Some of you people are really stupid. Manny Ramirez has been a far better hitter his entire career. David Ortiz was not even noticed in the Twin Cities when manny was having .350 45 Hr 160 Rbi seasons. I'm glad some of you are not the GM of my team. Manny makes ortiz good. Period. Ortiz wouldn't see any pitches if Manny wasn't there. THAT'S why Ortiz has always got defensive when Manny talks about leaving or being traded.

Well Manny has been puttin up big numbers his whole career but now I would say Ortiz is a better hitter plus he has much more clutchness that manny.
With 2out, Bottom of the 9th, bases loaded, full count, game 7 of the World Series I would rather see Ortiz than manny.

David Ortiz because he's excellent in the clutch which is a big part in winning games. Manny Ramirez is a guy who delivers but not at the right times. He usually delivers when they're either already losing or already winning.

It's nice to hit in the third spot when a 500 hr hitter is right behind you. Ortiz takes the glory. Manny doesn't mind....He's being Manny.

Manny is good but a baby. Ortiz comes through when we need him. Plus his shoulder problem. He was able to tough it out. Manny doesn't even like Boston.
