reminder: My Q is focused on the Iraq War issue.

BTW: I'm currently listening on the radio to the Congressional hearings in which General David Petraeus and Ambassador to Iraq, Ryan Crocker are testifying on the Military Surge effort.

Anyone who thinks this war isn't about religion is fooling themselves. Bush claimed that God told him to invade Iraq.
Bin Laden claims god told him to declare war on the west and kill people. Either god is playing somebody or they are both delusional power hungry monsters. I'm going for the latter. Anyone who has imaginary friends should not be allowed to hold an office of power nor should they be looked to for leadership.

Its not religion, its more like a game for them.

Like for example the authorization for the Iraq war, what would happen if you, as member of congress, dont vote for the war?

You will be called un-patriotic, terrorist, and burned at the stake. Its not religion, more like go with the flow.

I think there are members of congress who have been paid off by the anti-war, Bin Laden sympathizing, communist , traitors that our country is infected with right now. It's sad that the democrats are bigger allies of Bin Laden than with our own president and country.

I doubt it. I think most Congresspersons talk about religious beliefs but do not act in a way which is consistent with them.

Honestly, I would think (and hope) that the positions of members of Congress are based on their CONSTITUENTS' beliefs, not the member's own personal religious beliefs. They are elected to represent their constituents.

have you ever met a religious person that DIDN'T have every other opinion/issue built upon or linked to their particular religious beliefs?

religion is a weed that insinuates itself into every part of a persons life.
