Your boss may be able to discuss a medical condition with your supervisor or manager if it is effecting your ability to do your job or endangering someone else. Other wise NO.

No, he cannot discuss YOUR medical anything with anyone else, under your rights to privacy.

If he's a licensed professional, notify the state board of health and his licensing association (AMA, board of nursing, etc) about this violation.

HIPAA is restricted to health care clearinghouses, certain health care providers, and health plans ("covered entities"). Unless your employer is considered a covered entity, HIPAA doesn't necessarily pertain to him.

If you volunteer the information to your boss and he is not your doctor, then he can discuss that with other employees.

NO. He can't. talk about your medical condition.The one and only person he would be permitted to talk to is your HR office in reguards to the work you can or can not do. Other than that, He can't talk about aything else.
