playing for Barry switzer.at OK...he was playing well as a freshman, but Jerome brown of Miami broke his ankle.switzer then played jammele Holloway, and switched the offense to the wishbone for him.OK won the national championship that year.Holloway was only a freshman and coming off a championship year, switzer was not going to change the offense.so aikman thought it was best to transfer to UCLA,which had a more traditional offense.

BTW...before he went to college...he was drafted by the new york mets, but refused.

Troy Aikman only began at OU, he transferred to UCLA after only two seasons. Sam Bradford has not even made it to the NFL yet. So the answer would be Sam Bradford, Once he makes it to the NFL because he is a Sooner.

He probably went for a coach. A lot of times players will leave to work with a favorite coach. Maybe UCLA had a better class coming in also and the future at OK wasn't going to be as strong.

Because OU ran a wishbone offense and Troy wasn't actually a Mike Vick type QB....thats why he left.

He thought it would be a better fit for his talents. Looks like he made the right decision.

Maybe he took a trip to California and figured out it was a far better place to live than OK.
