I'm guessing that the answer would be smoke in both cases. you actually believe that, not only are there dragons( I know about kumodo dragons by the way)but they breathe smoke? interesting you "need" an answer to this!!

Smoke... or breath in the dragon's case. You could call the incense smoke its scent.
