I stayed at Rye Beach NH a few weeks ago, we were outside the house partying until around 3am before I went inside to bed.
When I saw my body the next morning I nearly had a heart attack, I had around 20+ bites on my stomach, back, sides and armpits. The lumps from these bites were nearly 2inches across, massively swollen, and bright red.
The itching nearly drove me crazy for a week (the only product that worked in taking the edge off the itch was Benadryl spray) before the swelling and redness started to fade.
I have never been bitten by bugs that badly in my life, and i'm surprised it was as bad as that because at no point did I take my tshirt off during the party.

ok they are real bad I have to wear bug spray at work due to the doors get opened lots. I have had 4 bites in a hour. I even had some fly into the car.

I made the cover of Mosquito Monthly Journal. They LOVE me. I was voted their favorite restaurant. I was given 5 proboscis up.

Yes I have noticed that and I also noticed more of them this summer than I remember from other years. Maybe it was a good year for them temperature, moisture etc. Best thing is it will be too cold for them soon!

They've gotten so bad they broke in and kidnapped my dachshund and are holding it for ransom--3 pints of A positive blood by midnight or the weiner gets grilled. (Only took 3 of them to carry him off, too.)

lucky you, mine just kick the door down. i killed six of those suckers last night after waking up and itching all over.

they have been horrible! spray doesn't even work anymore. at a football game i was at last weekend more than half the crowd left because they were so bad.
