What did you think of her performance last night?
Some people say she she was good considering the fact that she just had 2 kids and all.
And some people say that she was horrible. That she appeared high and out of sorts. And she was off beat and couldn't get the steps right. Some even said that she almost forgot the words to the song?

I feel bad bc MTV said no to her performance w/ chris angel right before she went on and she heard sarah silverman make those crude jokes about her kids BEHIND STAGE when MTV agreed her kids were off limits...I don't like britney much but I feel like people are being jerks. Did you know Nelly Furtado has kids??? A lot of female "hot" singers have had kids we just do not hear about them. I now hate SARAH because britney's poor kids will get older and hear that they were called a mistake, ugly and the cause of britney's career ending...how do you think that will make them feel? This crap is out of line, they can make fun of BS alllll they want but not her babies...she isn't even a bad mother, the allegations were FALSE and like I said a lot of hot singers have kids and they go out partying just as much as Spears. People don't understand the concept of a nanny...I mean i'd rather have a nanny than do what most people do and shove their kids in daycare all freaking day....

Here's my take:
Yes, she had two kids. I thought she looked decent as far as her body (our local radio stations said she's really fat-- I disagree with that-- she's not fat at all; she's just not in the same shape or as tight as she was before kids.
Anyhow, the perfomance was very much anticipated by my husband and I. HOWEVER, when the music began, I have to honestly say I was appalled. It was MORE than obvious that she was lip sinking-- she didn't even try to cover it up. It was the worst I have ever seen in a live performance.
Then, her dancers outshined her. That is not how it's supposed to be. She should be the one outshining her dancers, and she barely moved at all. She seemed slumpish, tired, and looked awful! Her lack of getting into the show was the icing on the cake-- then towards the end there was this giggle in the song. She didn't even do anything but cover her mouth. She looked like she was yawning.
I have to say that out of all the live shows I have ever seen, that her performance was the worst. I remember watching that last night and telling my husband that she just ruined any chance of a comeback she had planned. It was that bad.
But, she did it to herself.... had she REALLY wanted her career comeback then she would have put more than just a 10% effort into her very-lacking show.

I think the problem is that people were expecting her to fail so that's what they were looking for. The reason MTV was advertising Britney as the person who was introducing the awards was not because she is just so awsomely famous, but because she has been such a wreck this past year that people might be interested to see her be a wreck on national TV. To me, it wasn't fair of MTV to advertise her that way. We all know they weren't advertising her performance because she's an amazing artist.
With that said, I still happen to think that she did very poorly. Her heart clearly wasn't in it. I don't think she's ready to be back on stage quite yet. She didn't smile at all. Her dancing looked rehersed and lacked energy. But she still went out and did it...so let's at least give her a hand for that people!!

this is stressful for me to respond to this, seeing how I watched it in spite of everything the terrible comments, so I went in with that. i think of that if i could have watched it the 1st time, stay, i does no longer have theory it improve into terrible, whether this is no longer her suitable. She did look fairly lazy in it, purely going during the motions. yet I do have some thing to assert approximately her parent. No, she does not have the athletic, ripped parent she did some years in the past, yet she isn't fat! I recommend, come on! absolutely everyone seems to be appearing as though she is extensive. human beings heavily could get a grip. sure, she is a celebrity and her physique image is area of her activity, yet supply her a harm! She isn't fat! GEEZ! bypass eat some CHEETOS!

She is a hot mess and is sooooooooooooooooooo over! Instead of partying the night before, she should have been concentrating on making her comeback but she messed up big time. She is not professional at all and the authorities need to take her kids and put her in rehab! She needs to leave show business forever! Horrid!

I think it was al horrible. She lyp-synched her way through the whole performance, in the VMA´s the artists are supposed to perform live not lyp-synch everything. she didnt even know how to lyp-synch right-she had forgotten the lyrics to the song and was barely dancing.
regarding her body-it looked horrible as well, she was unfit and should NOT have worn only a bra and a panty. her skimpy outfit showed off her beer belly(unnecessary to see that). And I dont care is she is a mother-i am a mother as well and I have a much better body that she does.

I was looking forward to that performance being her comeback. Considering her past performances have been great. She looked like a dear caught in headlights. Completely lost, we know she lip sings, and the outfit, SO NOT cute at all, compared to past outfits.

To me, it didn't look like she had practiced much. She seemed real low energy, like she wasn't sure of herself and just didn't really know what she was doing.
Some said she looked fat, I don't think she looked fat but her performance was not up to professional levels. Her dance moves were not what she used to do either. I think I could have done the routine myself and that's pretty sad.

she forgot the lyrics at some critical junctures to her own song!
not impressive at all!!!
she's outta shape, her dance moves weren't sharp
she was out partying the night before all over vegas with Diddy...well thats what she gets for not going in prepared for such a critical performance and being irresponsible the night before
WHAT HAPPENED TO DISCIPLINE AND WORK ETHIC???
She did a very good job of blowing off her "comeback" and seeking redemption from fans
I bet the songs she's gonna be releasing were digitally altered to make her voice sound good
Did you see Rihanna's and 50 cents' faces during her performance?
They had that "she's messed up" look on their faces and they weren't impressed AT ALL

Her performanc was POOR. She didn't even make an effort to perform. We all know she's an amazing performer. It's like she didn't have any self confidence and she knew shew as going to get ridiculed after her performance. I feel bad for her cause it would suck to have everyone making fun of you, but I don't feel bad for her because she didn't even make an effort to perform.
