The other people have suggested a wheel out of balance. This is not true. If it only wobbles around 55 mph but goes way at speeds faster than 55mph then your wheel is not out of balance, since the wobble would only get worse the faster you go. I would have your transmission checked to make sure there are no problems there.

Your tires are out of balance. Also check the inflation. Most likely a tire weight fell off the tire and is bouncing while driving at a particular speed. Or you have a bent rim, Did you hit a curb?

Have your entire steering and brake system checked. You didn't mention what brand, year and model you have so we can't be too specific. Wheel bearings, loose tie rod ends, ball joints and soft tires would be my guess.
