Tom Lantros called the 5-Star General Petraues a
liar today. Why do Democrats play so dirty anymore?
Have they no protocol, finesse, manners, or etiquette
that used to be prevalent among politicians? Democrats
and Chris Matthews made statements ahead of time that
Petraeus' speech would be polished by the White House
speechwriters, and called them cherry-picking the facts.
This was BEFORE the speech was even given. I'm
embarrased by how rude people have now become. Is
this the America we want to preserve? Are any citizens
out there outraged by all this?

He's a Four Star, and no they won't...most of them want us to fail so they can win the White House in 08...winning the war means they were wrong...

You ask why Democrats play dirty. We learned it from the Republicans. Nixon was the champion of dirty tricks and he passed his book of tricks on to others. Karl Rove took over as chief trickster but the Democrats were paying attention and have finally decided to fight dirty tricks with dirty tricks. It is about time. The wimpy campaigns of Democrats in the last few decades has been pitiful. The history of The Bush Administration causes people to have no trust in their credibility at all thus such statements of editing the general's report are to be expected. If we could trust the Bush Administration to not lie to us we would not see people like Congressman Lantos nor Chris Matthews making such statements. In other words stop whining the Bushies brought it onto themelves.

We've been hearing bits and pieces from Petreus for weeks. I don't think there were any surprises.
Why are you outraged by truth and not by all the lies you've been told about this war?

Democrats are to invested in losing in Iraq to hear anything positive. Any good news will be labeled and cast aside.
