This morning my boyfriend went to work and he said I could stay and sleep in (I stayed the night at his place). So, I couldnt fall sleep and I decided to go home. I picked something up off the floor and noticed a used condom in the trash can of his bedroom! It was right on top...no I wasn't digging in the trash, I could have seen it last night when we were in his room. Needless to say, I freaked out because I KNOW it wasn't ours...( im on the pill and we have both been tested so please no lectures :)!!!) ANYWAYS, I met up with him and asked him WTF and I was really upset. He said, "This is so embarassing... but the other night I masturbated with a condom on." I said it makes it look suspicious seeing it in the trash can and I was out of town about 2 weeks ago. I dont have ANY other reason to think he would cheat on me, and I think if he did cheat he would be smart enough to hide the evidence. Im usually good at dectecting BS but this one is news to me. WOW! A lot of answers to this. To clear a few things up: First, he is circumcised. The person who mentioned reciepts in the trash, smart! I actually looked below at the older trash (very carefully and with a washcloth!haha) and found a reciept from about 3 weeks ago at the very bottom. Which means in the past 3 weeks is when it was put in to the trash and since it was at the top of the trash can, I'm thinking it was recent and I know what hes been doing/where he has been for the past week and a half... which makes me kinda believe the masturbation theory.
Next, someone said its weird having condoms even though we dont use them... not really. We are military and medical field, those things are standard issue... a dime a dozen. Everyone has plenty of condoms because they are in little buckets all over the hospital!
I havent noticed him being distant, or notice any random phone calls/texts/myspace comments.

Its still really weird to me and I'm still 50/50!

First of all, addressing the issue of masturbating while wearing a condom, I don't know how common that is. But, I do know I've done it myself, lots of times. To be perfectly blunt, it cuts down on the clean up necessary after the fireworks are over! lol I could go into more graphic detail. But, I don't think it's necessary here. I'll just leave it at this, the hairier a guy is, the more difficult to clean up. Enough said about that. Even if your guy is smoothe, I can understand a desire to "contain the end product" in a condom.
Secondly, you said you were out of town two weeks ago. I believe if he'd been with someone else two weeks ago and used that condom, everything would have been dried up by now. I don't know that the rest of us really want any more detailed information on the status of that condom's contents. Just take that underconsideration.........think about it......you decide.
Thirdly, I just cannot imagine your guy being with someone else in his own bedroom (knowing the two of you will be in there) and just tossing evidence like that onto the top of the trash!

I've done it with a condom, but I already had it... I'm not sure that I'd go out and buy one special just for that...
If you're thinking that he cheated 2 weeks ago when you were out of town, it wouldn't have been on top of the garbage, it'd be two weeks down. You should know how tidy your BF is... does he empty his trash every week, every 3 weeks, or what? That can help you narrow down a timeframe. If you know where he was for the past few nights, you're probably safe.
You could tell him that you want to watch him do it with a condom on. If he's not sure how to get going, or if it doesn't work for him, then you'll know he's lying.

My boyfriend masturbates with a condom as well. We do use condoms during sex. He says he uses a condom while masturbating to practice putting in on and get use to the feeling. i think some guy just like the rush of going to a pharmacy and buying a pack of condoms. Maybe he was fantasizing about having sex with another girl, which would obviously not be a good thing. Guys are just horny and like to do different things. News Flash!!! to all women and men ... some guys do masturbate with condoms on, maybe not all the time.I have done it before and i feels different in a good way ,then when you are done you don't have a mess to deal with. I agree that if your boyfriend is cheating on you that he would be smart enough to get rid of the "evidence" unless he is just careless!!

I won;t say wha the is but I will say guys do use condoms on occasion for their self-pleasure. Sometimes just to add a little extra somethign but in other methods condoms are required. How much of a clean freak is he? And did he wear a condom with girls before you? These two questions would come to mind for me. If he doesn't want to get his spunk on other stuff, then I could see him using a condom or a sock when masturbating. Lots of guys use socks, but if he had condoms laying around I can see him using one, especially if won't be using them up with you. Also, he might be used to the feel of having a condom on when having sex, or he might like the different sensation he sometimes gets from it, so using one could help him out when masturbating as well.
