Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, yet we bombed and destroyed their infastructure,dismanteled their entire government and put 60% of Iraquis out of work. We won the military objective in two weeks. Then we began the occupation and hired contractors to start reconstruction, but they failed miserably and the same conditions persist in Iraq for the past 4 years. Now how would you feel if your house was blown up, you were out of work and contractors were hiring people from other countries to rebuild your neighborhood? I think you would really be pissed!

The right has convinced people that the two are connected by repeating it. It's a nice boogyman for scared, freaked out conservatives to wave in your face and say, "SEE, IT"S ABOUT PROTECTING OUR COUNTRY, OUR WOMEN, AND OUR CHILDREN!!"
It's not about any of that, it's about oil money and a big turd this administration stepped in despite everyone telling them not to step in it. Now they see no way to remove the poo from themselves without losing face, so they will pass it on to the next Administration and blame it on them in 2012.

I would rather have my house blown up and lose my job rather than to have my family tortured and executed by Saddam. We are actually trying to convert Iraq into a democratic country rather than the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein. This isn't about the attack on 9/11 but it is about the brutal killings of Saddam Hussein. It is more like saving Iraqis from getting killed and tortured.

They are confused because they believe all the BS on tv. Nobody here is educated enough of cares enough outside of their own little dream bubble to honestly be interested. That is why this so called war (war profiteering) is still going on...gotta stay the course. There is supposed to be an Impeachment rally in DC on the 15th.

I'd do exactly what the Iraqi people are doing--fight like hell to expel the invadeers andtake my country back--and overthrow the puppet regime the invader instaled.
Latest figures--57% of Iraqis now say it is ok to attack Americans--up from 37% this spring.
