If a homosexual American citizen finds love with a foreign person
on a work visa. They get unionized, is their spouse then an American citizen as it works with marriage. Or is this just one more right being denied to us?

Bi-national gay couples don't have the same rights as bi-national straight couples.

In order for your spouse (straight or gay) to become an American citizen they must be naturalized through a lengthy process. This process was put in place to help stop people marring non-citizens just to allow them to become Americans. In the past a quick way to make $5000 was to get married until the non citizen got their nationalization papers and then get a divorce.

This union would not currently be recognized as current in the US. In response to some who answered this:

1) Straight people are most certainly allowed parades if they wish to hold one. Of course they have no reason to since they have full acceptance.

2) By definition there are such things as legally recognized rights (voting, due process, etc...) and implied rights (privacy, etc...). Gay citizens are indeed denied implied rights which are duely recognized by legal acts of the federal government. Ie: Unions, both civil and performed by religious entities are licensed and recognized by the federal government for heterosexual couples.

There is no such thing as rights.
Rights are just a fantasy people have fabricated in their own minds.
No rights!
No entitlements!
It's all just made up.
You are speaking of privileges that a benevolent society has agreed that most people should receive.
In reality you have no rights.
Be grateful for the privileges you are granted.

Be glad you live in a nation in which you are allowed to spout off and whine about perceived 'rights' you feel entitled to. In some nations you are not granted those freedoms.
