I thought it would help with my stretching pains below my ribs since that is where baby is pulling on me the most.. but I NEVER USE IT.

You have the most supportive part around the small of your back, and the stretchy part wrapped around your underbelly. Too tight, baby gets irritated... too lose, no support.. there is no happy medium.

THEY ONLY time its comfortable for me is when I'm walking around.... I cant SIT in it.. not to mention my baby HATES it and battles my belly with it....

So all in all, I feel I wasted the money lol... its more worth laying down to rid myself of pain than sitting uncomfortably.

Everyone is different though.. some people really like it..

I say just buy the basic one at Motherhood Maternity for $20.. atleast it wont be a total financial loss if you dont like it!

Hope this helps!

You pull them over the waist of your pants to make large pants tighter or cover small pants that won't button. This is going to sound so odd, but I saw those online and they looked just like tiny tube tops and I remembered I had some tiny old tube tops in the bottom of a drawer somewhere, so I dug them out and they worked perfectly! They didn't hold up pants that were too big, but I was too small for most maternity pants, so I just wore my regular pants and adjusted the waist w/ a rubber band (loop the band around the belt hole and stretch it to the button) and then I'd pull the tube down over it and it covered everything and just looked like an extra layer under my shirt. I would have had nothing to wear during my pregnancy if it weren't for those little tube tops! I think the belly bands would probably work the exact same way.

Yes, I did, it did help me when I was up and about, not too comfortable, but not uncomfortable. It is kind of like a back brace but in reverse, or all the way around. I had real bad sciatica, and severe back pains, on the days that I wore it, at the end of the day I felt much better. But beware of losing your pants, it goes under your clothes, and those maternity clothes dont have a lot of grip if you know what I mean. Congratulations!

My midwife recommended one for me to help with lower back and pelvic pain...all a maternity belt is is a big piece of elastic with velcro, it goes around your back and under your belly to give you a little "lift"......while it did help a bit with the lower back discomfort, it squished my belly so much and was soooo irritating to my skin that is wasn't worth my while, but I'm carrying my baby very low so you may have a better outcome...
