Into office, yes. Into the presidency, doubtful. We have more to fear from the right wing christians than a muslim president though.

Why is religion relevent to how effective someone would be as an elected official? There is a Muslim member of Congress (Keith Ellison, D-MN) who was sworn in with his Koran when he took his oath of office. Didn't you see the news stories last year when he was elected?

Yes. As long as he/she is born in the United States, and has the qualifications. There's something called freedom of religion still granted in the constitution. I would consider a Catholic president much more dangerous.
