Pencils are passe. I only write with a pen. But it has to be a certain type of pen. you know the ones that are kind of like markers. They flow smoothly. I think really fast so I need a pen that can keep up with me

Pen, but only if it's one of those nice roller pens that you don't have to press down on to get the ink to come out. Otherwise pencil. Pencil for drafting, mechanical pencil for writing.
