The cop is an ***, and must of had a real bad day.. I totally agree with you that the supervisor or the manager should of got in trouble, not the cook. If I were the lady I would talk to the owner and tell him or her that she informed them about the salt in the burger and they blew her off. She should of never went to jail over this, its not like she put a drug in the meat so the officer would get sick, it just had to much salt, and if the cop wasn't such an idiot he would of just took one bite of the burger and realized it was to salty, and took it back.

It's just an abusive cop using his badge to -- ahem, make up for what he lacks.
Obviously, if he wasn't a cop, he would have had to either complain about the salty meat or stop eating it -- or at the worst, file a civil suit when he got sick -- like everyone else, but he chose to get it lab-tested and arrest someone instead. Not to mention the fact that there's no telling how much actual crime went un-noticed while he was getting his salty meat tested. I can't wait until that employee sues the police department for police misconduct.

Then it should have been turned over to the HEALTH dept, NOT a cop that Just wanted to make an arrest. So the bastard cop wanted to give a person a Arrest record for a stupid accident. That is the trouble with some cops. Even like this one in the video below.

She acted on the instructions of her supervisor, so I agree with you there.
I understand that some people have a medical condition that makes them need to watch their salt intake, but really...should those people be eating fast food at all in that case?
Short story...grumpy cop having a bad day.

Too much salt can be dangerous for some people. The charge was endangering public health. I agree the supervisor who made the decision to use the meat is the one who should have been charged.

Abuse of power, plain and simple. If it wasn't a cop, the most trouble she would get into would be losing her job. but, this just goes to show how screwed up our culture is. The only people I know that become cops barely graduated high school and have HUGE chips on their shoulders. These are the people that "protect us". High school bullies and morons. Sorry, but it's true.

As muley said there may be more to this story than has been told but this seems like an abuse of power to me.
