Romney married his high school girlfriend, Ann Davies in 1968. Both are practicing members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, commonly known as Mormons, though Ann was raised Episcopalian. They have five sons (Tagg, Matt, Josh, Ben, and Craig) and 10 grandchildren. Ann Romney was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1998. They have homes in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Utah.
Romney's great-grandparents were polygamist Mormons who fled to Mexico in 1884 because of a US government crackdown on them. Polygamy was banned in the United States in 1862, though the LDS church made the first manifesto against it in 1890. Though Romney's great-grandfather was polygamist and took his last wife in 1895, his grandfather was not. Romney's father was born in Mexico, and moved to the United States in 1912.

Yes. He's never hidden that important part of his life.
People have some very strange ideas about Mormons. We are Christians. We are not a cult or a pagan religion. We stress family values and strong morals.

Um, this is for Rhino.
There is no way Mitt Romney's father was born in Mexico. He ran for president forty years ago, which he could not have done if he was born outside of the United States. Wikipedia must have gotten it wrong.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. He has said so many, many times. Why, does it bother you? There is such thing as freedom of religion. I want a pagan president.
