How many of you are organ donors? I am registered through the state I live in and have informed my family members.

I'd like to get as many responses as I can. Please answer. If you think you would like to be a donor, contact your state/country/government donor registry. Thank you to all!!

I am. I never thought about it before, but as I grew older I found out that my uncle could have been saved (killed in a car crash at 18) by an organ donor. He was killed in 1970, and back then not many people donated their organs. From the time I started driving (early 80's) until now, I have always checked off the box for organ donation.

I am not a living organ donor............but I have signed the back of my driver's license that in the event of my death my organs are to be recycled as needed.

I wish that everyone would consider this gift.

Interesting question, and might I add that anybody that is considering this or wanting this done ought to let their family know. The recipients need fresh organs (sorry to say that)

Great Question!

i am, and i think it's a great thing to be, after your gone you don't need them anymore, how selfish to deny someone else life because the organs are yours and you used to use them.

Good...me too! I figure I won't need them when I'm gone so if they'll help someone else, why not?
