Call the police, that will scare the kid, if not, it will be a nice introduction to the life s/he will soon be living with that attitude.

Spare the rod, spoil the child. Its still needed for teenagers. As an abused child, I can still support corporal punishment for children, but make sure you are doing it for their benefit and not because you are angry or suffering emotional problems. Try and find non-violent means of punishment first, and if that doesn't work then push the punishment up slowly until the behavior changes.

You will have to out-smart him. You must have more experience and wits than this abusive teen. Make him feel miserable, until he realizes his attitude has to change. There are many ways (without hitting) in which you can make a persona feel bad, I don't mean that you himiliate him, but give him a taste of his own soup. Make him feel sorry and make him feel he is only a spoiled teen, that way he will feel impotent and confused, his abusive practices will come to an end.

Have you no young Friends that could be persuaded to have a word with him. I am certain a few Lolly pops in the right quarters will have an effect.

The average adult with average intelligence should be able to verbally put down any teenager, just give better than you get, they will soon stop when they see they are getting slagged off more than they are giving.

You didn't say what your relationship is to this abusive kid. Ok, maybe find out what his problem is. Really, ask him. Not in an abusive way, just ask his opinion.
