The Iraq war because it is all consuming with the current Administration. It has forced us to borrow money from countries not generally friendly to us.
Health care reform. As I am officially a senior citizen I see retirement looming on the horizon. That means no insurance where I work. I want to be able to be assured of quality and affordable health care. I don't favor a totally Socialist system. I should have to make copay for visits to health care provider and maybe a small premium.
Social Security not being raided but used for its intended purpose as a supplement to retired persons so they don't have to starve. It is not intended to be one's only source of money as there is a pension etc. but to stretch pension money and because I paid into it I should receive benefit at 65 not see it gradually being moved later and later as though dangling a carrot in front of my face. Only retired people should be able to get benefit, not kids whose parent is dead or who has some medical condition, not some illegal alien who, may have paid into the system but is ILLEGAL. Certainly not someone who is from another country who happens to be old and has not paid into the system.
From recent votes in Congress and the attitudes out of the White House I believe the Democrats are better suited to solving these problems than the Republicans.

1. The Iraq War-for troop redeployment
2. Universal Health Care-for it
3. Illegal Immigration-Not for or against it per say, but am not stupid enough to believe we can actually find and deport 12 million people. I think we need to redeploy some of the Iraq troops to help out with a great deal of security and besides if we weren't spending so much on Iraq we might be able to afford more border security without running a defecit.
I generally vote democrat.

I vote for the person overall, not on any particular issue, but I think my top three are...
1. National Security (I want it to be strong)
2. Immigration (I want borders secured and illegals to be denied the privileges that legals have)
3. Education (fix the problems with the system, get the incompetent teachers out, get teachers paid what they are worth, hold them accountable for the test scores of their students)
I vote for the person, NOT the party. I am generally conservative, but in the last election cycle I voted for a democrat for House and a republican for Senate because they were the best people for the jobs.

Lower or stabilization of taxes with proper spending
Actually that's it, if just one candidate had a proper plan for that without all these under handed tricks such as decrease taxes but increase fees and sin taxes, that would be the candidate I'd support.
Non-party affiliated so vote for the person not the party.

1. Economy - the candidate who seems to be willing to curb spending, specifically military, would be my choice
2. Environment - for the future of my kids
3. Did I mention military spending to be drastically reduced
4. Cut the power of the pentagon, the Bush family, the PNAC and the NSA down to zero
I don't care which party, as long as they get the job done right and don't get preoccupied with invasions and preemptive strikes.

The party who most represents my views would have to be Democrat, but I disagree with them often as I am a registered Independent with the strongest ties to the Proletariat's.
The three issues that are most important to me (and I am strictly speaking for myself as I would say everyone differs wildly as to what is important to them) are as follows:
1. The heath care crisis
2. Repealing the NCLB act
3. The Iraq quagmire.

1. Terrorism--Which party is taking it seriously as a threat to civilization? Republicans.
2. Constitutional freedoms--Which party is trying to censure religion and free speech and force minority lifestyles onto the mainstream? Democrats.
3. Individualism--the power of the individual to succeed best on his own initiative. Which party wants a nanny state? Democrats.
Until Democrats start empowering their voting base, my vote will go the Republicans.

1. Iraq. This war should have never been started. It needs to end.
2. Political reform. Corruption is the biggest component of government today. That needs to change.
3. Health care reform. Health care costs have doubled in the past 5-6 years. Health care industry is currently one 6th to one 7th of our economy. I think that says it all.
