Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

Taking antibiotics will almost always lead to a yeast infection. As long as you are on antibiotics, other meds will simply not be as effective due to the antibiotics being in your system. Vagisil cream eases the annoyance of the itching, and wearing white full cut cotton underwear (no time to be cute right now!). It will go away, depending how long you've been on the antibiotic regiment, but can last up to 2 weeks. Your doc can provide something stronger, as well, if over the counter regiments haven't worked.

It seems as if you may still have some of the infection left. Call your doctor again and see if they can either give you a repeat dose of the diflucan or you may need a vaginal cream treatment that is stronger than the over the counter. Speak with them and they should be able to just call in something to your pharmacy.

go to the store and buy lots of yogurt and eat it for a week a couple times a day and it will go away. the next time you are on an antibiotic eat yogurt and you will probably not get a yeast infection.

You are probably going to be douching a while. Baking soda and water seems to work best. You may have to consider putting a capsule of probiotics into that area and then holding in with a tampon.
My father was a chiropractor and this was an issue he dealt with often in his practice. He often had patients putting raw unflavored yogurt into their vagina before bedtime and holding it in with a tampon to replace the flora and fauna that got killed off by the antibiotics and caused the candida overgrowth.
The candida infection is probably systemic, though, because antibiotics kill all of the beneficial flora and fauna throughout the entire body. If your dentist is telling you that you have "pockets" in your gums... that is candida. If you wind up with diarreah and bloating and upset stomach, that is also probably the candida too... and I can tell you that it is tough to get rid of.
The single easiest way to deal with this is described in a book called "Green for Life" by Victoria Boutenko... you are going to kick all of the candida out of your system by drinking a quart of green smoothie every day. It will take a month or two, and your energy level will go up. You will love it. I did this and it got rid of the pockets and the deep-seated candida colonies in the toughest parts of my bowels... and really makes my skin glow.
After that, stay away from antibiotics.

Try plain yogurt - in your tummy and save a spoon of it for in that other place.
Dannon has a couple of immune/digestive yogurts that might help restore your natural PH levels.
