Now that we see that Randy Moss is still Randy Moss, and the defensive losses the Colts "suffered" have prabably made them Colts better, who's the best now and why

Hard to say until they actually play each other...

...however, here is what I saw.
Colts had outstanding offense, excellent defense, and good coaching.
Patriots had outstanding offense, excellent defense, and good coaching.

The only reason I will give the Colts an advantage, today, is that I think they had stronger opposition in the Saints last week.

Tough to call after 1 game. We will see in a few weeks when they play each other in Indianapolis.
Being a huge Colts fan, I am biased, but the Pats did a lot to make their team better in the off-season.
Judging by the Randy Moss interviews after the game, it seems that the change in teams has had a positive effect.

They will both make the playoffs where anything can happen. I think a lot of it will depend on the matchups and homefield.

The media views all of the Defensive changes for the Colts(losing free agents, etc) as a bad thing. It looks like it might be a very good thing.
How could Jason David, a guy that practiced against Manning for years, get beaten so badly all game? That has to concern some defenses.

As a pats fan gotta love Moss so far. He may have some issues down the road, but even without him you got Wes Welker, Daunte Stallworth, Kelly Washington and Ben Watson(The sometimes erratic but still better than most TEs). The patriots offense is the best passing offense that they have had since Brady has been their quarterback. Beyond their passing attack, people forget the running game of the Pats, its a good running attack not the top of league but a good attack. Their offense with or without Moss is more than the Colts defense could handle on their best day. On Defense the absense of Rodney Harrison hurts their secondary without a doubt. Not having Seymour is also a problem, but due to the depth the Pats have at defensive line it is a not as big of a problem. When the Pats face the colts, they will have both players back and Samuel will be back in the mix(he'll need some time to get back to where he was last season). The Colts will still be able to move the ball on New England, but I dont think they will score as much against New England's defense as New England will score against the Colts defense. New England is overall a more complete team, and a slightly better team than the Colts. Look for New England to have homefield throughout the playoffs, and win this years superbowl.

Patriots

The offense is very explosive with Maroney, Moss, and Brady. Brady has never had an offense quite like this. The Colts offense is a little better but the Pats get the edge on defense. The Patriots have several playmakers and the Colts only have Bob Sanders. The Colts will lose to the Titans and Vince Young will exploit the Colts mediocre front 7.

You can't say who after one game. They played the Saints (colts) and the Jets (Patriots) Those two teams are not heavy hitters in the NFL. Wait till we get some good matches but all I have to say is that the Pats have great players but I think ********* could play a key in there losses this year, and the colts have always been mocked for there defense. Well Bob Sanders & Dwight Freeny proved there defense is here to stay, they played tough!! I don't predict anything till Playoffs cuz who would of though the Eagles would of made the playoffs with Jeff Garcia.. YOU NEVER KNOW

The Colts beat the Pats last year and went on to win the Superbowl. They significantly improved their defense and I don't see how any team could be better than the Colts right now. The problem with Moss is he plays when he wants to. If he's at the top of his game the Pats can beat them. The problem is do we know if Moss is going to show up in that game?

the patriots.

the colts beat the most overrated team in football last week. new orleans' defense was 31st in the league last year in yards per play. any good offense is going to be able to run all over that, let alone an offense with manning at the helm. although the final score was 41-10 the game wasn't nearly as lopsided as many of the analysts would make it seem. in the first half the indy offense was stopped by that terrible saint defense, allowing only a touchdown and a field goal. new orleans did well last year because of the feel-good story tied to them, it was extra motivation. they don't have that this season. not to mention they are in the much weaker nfc.

the patriots went out without their full team. moss is coming off an injury and barely did anything regarding practice or pre-season games. samuel missed all of the pre-season as well. they also didn't have harrison or seymour, two pro-bowl defenders. they beat a team in the superior afc conference without all their tools. look at what the 3 patriot championship teams did without all of the new players they added this year. in they're first game together moss and brady both had the 3rd best games of their careers. including the most yards by a single reciever since tom brady has been QB.

the colts are a great team, but they barely slipped by the patriots last year. the patriots spent their offseason trying to change that, and the colts had barely any aquisitions. they'll both be in the AFC championship again, but i see the patriots winning it again this year.

The Patriots will still score because of Mr. Brady and his ability to forget the previous play, good or bad. However the newly energized Colts defense will make it hard for them to score in the 30's.

So like many of the colts games, it will come down to Manning. If Manning can figure out the Pats game plan, the colts win a fairly close game. If he can't they loose and loose badly.

Colts are better. The real difference is the Patriot defense which is old and injury prone.

Just PLEASE do not try and make a statement and kick to Hobbs! That was was a beautiful return just like the nice one which kept them from being blown out in the in the AFCCG last year.

Both teams are up on them self. But I would go with the Colts they act like they will be better off.
