I find a huge difference in PMS symptoms depending upon what I eat. And I mean all month long, not just during the PMS prime time.
First, most people say avoid caffeine. So if you drink coffe, etc. cut back.
For me, I don't tolerate glutens (wheat or processed food) well in general, and if I eat lots of that type of stuff my PMS increases dramatically.
Also, many people are deficient in magnesium which can add to PMS. If you take magnesium in a form that is easy to assimilate (i.e. not in a hard pill -- use CALM brand or magnesium oil that is easy to absorb) this may help you a lot.
I've also been told to take castor oil (3 tablespoons, can be mixed in warm water with lemon) 10 days prior to the period. While this helps me I hate the stuff so don't do it every month -- I know if I actually followed this advice it would work wonders.
