I do feel so sorry for her. She has had a rough time. What a lot of people forget is that she is in a very difficult industry and at times life is tough. Many people lose their way when they are young but have the space to make their mistakes and find t their way back. Hollywood can be brutal. Having all that money attracts the wrong people at times. Having all your business in the news can drive anyone crazy.
I hope she can find good people to help her through such a tough time. I really hope she finds her way. Many of us in our late teens to early 20's go wild but we don't have money and have parents and family that keep us grounded. I do not think she is worse that most but exposed to alot more. I pray she finds her way and rebuilds her life and lives a good life.
She is our daughter and sister. I guess I like seeing people do well.

I did, but the reports about her being out of shape were not true to me I thought she looked pretty healthy and so did most of the women there. Her hair looked a total mess, with all that money and she couldn't do no better than that.? She was unrehearsed and looked totally confused with the whole performance. I don't think she needs family I think she needs a unbiased stylist and agent to tell her the way it is instead of all the YES people that do it just for the money and not try to accomplish crap. I had a hard time watching it, because I felt embarrassed and sad for her. I'm not even a fan, but my kids were.

I have always felt sorry for children pushed into the entertainment industry at such a very young age by their parents or parent.
It is hard for an adult to become a star as an adult and handle his/her life properly.
It is almost impossible for a child to be pushed to become a star and actually achieve childhood stardome while still a child including Britney Spears, or anyone else, as they will never know what a "real life" or a "normal life" is while they are treated as stars by both fans, who would almost always have best interests in that star, and other "opportunistic" people who just want to be near a star, as these opportunitists only have themselves in mind and not the young star be it Britney Spears or anyone else.
How many problems do young stars in handling stardome?
One has to look no further in recent months at Spears, Hilton, and Richie who were either pushed into stardome as children or born into stardome through either rich or famous families.

I have mixed feelings.......u know a part of me feels sorry since she her childhood was taken away from her which delusioned her to a false fantasy world. Suddenly REAL life hit and she was unable to handle it.
For that I feel sorry and blame the parents for pimping her out for cash.
But, then with last nights performance, I keep thinking, HELLO, you are flooding in cash, have personal trainers, and how hard is it to PRACTICE your own song??? You make millions and you can't do a basic performance???
Oh well........no worries though......she will be around for a long time.

I have mixed feelings about her. I kind of feel sorry for her because she's been through a lot and people are always mean to her. But at the same time I kind of don't, because she needs to be responsible for her actions, just like everyone else.

I didn't feel bad for her until I looked on MTV.com and they have pictures of her through the years at the VMA's. She was so young and beautiful and on fire when on stage. She's still young but she's not the same....it is sad. I hope she comes back for the sake of her career.

I saw her on MTV and it seems that the Britney I have known before no longer exists. Was she the same Britney who sang Hit Me Baby One More Time and Toxic?
Poor girl. She used to be on top of the world. Now she's as big as the world (look at her belly is she pregnant again?)

I agree with Gem, when you think about all the worse things going on you really can't sorry for Britney.
Besides Christina Aguilra (excuse my spelling) was a better singer. Britney wasn't the best dancer (or actress) either. But if there's anything she was...it was lucky. Many people would kill for the fame she has.

Do I "feel sorry" for a half talented hack who capitalized on the fact that half the teens wanted to be her, and the other half wanted her?
Do I "feel sorry" for someone who takes herself out of the game to have children when she is still a child herself?
Do I "feel sorry" for someone who makes millions all the while acting like the white trash background she pulled herself out of?
And finally, do I "feel sorry" for someone who begged to be on the show and then obviously put no effort into making sure her performance was top notch?
Well, no, I don't. I feel sorry for the people who are losing their jobs, I feel sorry for the children who go to bed hungry and I feel sorry that our country cares more about Britney Spears than our own children's futures. That is who I use my sorrow on.
She has millions (or had), she is the one that decided to have kids with a known womanizer, she is the one that decided to stop her career when she should have been cashing in and making as much as possible, and she is the (in my opinion) untalented hack who got real lucky with cottoncandy, pseudo-sexual lyrics while she was nothing but a child.
I think myself, like most intelligent humans with taste, knew this day was coming for years and we don't feel "sorry" for her.
Think of this while you are trying to pay your bills and feed your kids, she make $750,000 a MONTH, do you still feel sorry for her now?
